Feelin' HOT HOT HOT

Before I get into how great my summer vacation at home was I just need to give you some idea of how hot it is here.

1. Last night I noticed some kind of stain on my Canadian flag that I have hanging on the wall. What the heck I thought. At a closer look I see that it is the syrup from the candy cane I have hanging on the hook above. The apt is so warm that the candy cane started to melt.

2. A piece of my bike seat had melted to the wall.

3. I thought that if I rode my bike to work very slowly that it would minimize the amount of sweat but I was still drenched once I got to work. Only a 12 minute bike ride.
I put my head under the tap to wet my hair.

4. School has been cancelled for the afternoon due to the heat.

5. Mold had begun to form on the soles of the Birkenstocks I had left under my desk at school.

Aside from the furnace like temperatures, I am happy to be back in Mokpo. My time at home was refreshing and rejuvenating and I feel ready to take on another year. Hope this feeling lasts a while!!
