Llegar (ed)

We have arrived safe and sound in Liberia.

Keep this one short....

Plane from VAN to Houston smelled like fart and sweaty gym.

Houston airport was interesting. Colorful and full of accents.

Plane #2 from Houston to Liberia was FULL of kids. Good times.

If you can avoid flying UNITED/Continental airlines, DO SO!

You have to pay for EVERYTHING. No meals, no peanuts, no cookies and if you would like to sit in the emergency aisle you can, but for the bargain price of only $65 extra.

Bollocks!

The seats were tiny. NO media unless again, you wanted to pay $7.99 to watch tv/movies.

On the positive, we arrived safely and are staying at a lovely Tico house where the couple welcomed us with fresh fruit and then made us a delicious breakfast this morning.

(Insert food picture here!) I don't know how to move the pictures within the entry once you have uploaded them. Do you know??

Bummer today was that the water had been turned off at the house and in most of the town.

Soooooo, no bathroom which made the morning walk a little tricky and at times cranky.

I have never been so happy to be in a McDonald's as their water was working and we could use the bathroom. Ha.

Liberia is small and not that exciting. I had read that there was some nice architecture around here but we didn't find any.

Oh well.

Had a good walk in the warm weather. Had our first siesta and a nice dinner.

Tomorrow we are off to the coast. Playa Del Coco where we will stay for 1 week.

Can't wait to get in to the water!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy new Year!

Hello all,

A new adventure begins tomorrow with a 3 month trip to Central America with my sidekick Randy so I figured it's a good time to reconnect with the old blog.

We will be arriving in Costa Rica on December 28th and returning (possibly) on March 28th, 2012.

Stay tuned for blog posts!

Health, happiness and love,

Sloane
