When traveling I REALLY try to not compare this place to that place, this beach to that beach but I think that it's inevitable.
Almost every day, friends post photos of the Okanagan and every time I look at them, I think, WOW, that place is damn gorgeous!  I live there!?
Yes, even in winter it's gorgeous.  That doesn't mean I want to BE there during the winter haha.

I've been sitting on beaches in Thailand and thinking, yeah, this is really nice, but Penticton is just as good if not better.  I feel that I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world.  I still have lots of world to see, but for now, to me, it truly is a magical, wonderful, beautiful (enough descriptive words for you?) place to visit or if you are lucky enough, to live in.
Here's to appreciating, being grateful for, loving (and missing) the beauty that is the city you live in.  See you soon Penticton.
Oh yeah, and all of the people IN Penticton and surrounding area help make it pretty good too!
