Feliz Ano Nuevo 2012!

New Year's in Playa Del Coco was by far the craziest party I have ever seen.

After our 7km hike to and from the rocky beach of Ocotal, we treated ourselves to a few
bevvies and a nice pizza.

After dinner and With our own homemade concoction in hand, (an old favorite of coconut rum and juice) we wandered the
busy centro of Coco.

We weaved through people dancing and drinking and the cars trying to get down the road.
Some douche bag in a car ran into my leg and I wiped out a little. 20 points for hitting the tall white girl I guess.
It was all good though. No bumps or bruises.

After the eventful walk we headed down to the beach and walked the boardwalk.
Here we found families walking and a more chilled crowd. It was nice.
We ran into the Quebecois couple we had met at the Liberia bus terminal. Nice couple. We hung out with them for a while
and then headed back to the crazy centro in preparation for the countdown.

We stood in the middle of the road just taking all of the craziness around us in.

When midnight came people went nuts. I have never seen people get so excited for new years before.
Maybe not so much for the new year but just a reason to party hard. No se.

Screaming, kissing and beer being tossed everywhere all over everyone continued for quite some time.
Fireworks all around us and covered in alcohol we danced and laughed and enjoyed the craziest new years
any of us had seen before.
