Playa Coco

Unfortunately, due to the size of the photos on my camera and the slower internet connection here I am unable to upload as many photos as I would like.

I have since changed the setting on my camera!

So we spent 4 nights in Playa Coco the closest beach to the city of Liberia where we stayed our first 2 nights. This is the beach where most of the locals go to get away for the weekend.

It waas nice but nothing outstanding. It was great to get in the water of course.

One day we walked a total of 7km to check out a different beach which was a lot nicer and had great rocky formations. This reminded of Jeju island. (Especially the trip Heather and I took there).

Snorkeled a bit, tanned a bit.

On our last full day in Coco we got a ride from one of the owners at our hotel to a nearby beach called Pinca I believe.

Now this beach was the shit. What I had been hoping for from Coco but didn't find.

Down a bumpy dirt road we were taken to a little piece of heaven.

Clean, clear water on a smaller beach with few people. Ahhhhh

On the walk in we saw a monkey in the tree doing monkey things.

We named him Johnny in honor of our rock climbing friend John Shaw who has mad climbing skills just like this cute little monkey.

I dropped my bag immediately and ran into the water. Again, ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

Warm, welcoming, amazing.

We found some significantly better snorkeling here.

Snacks, tanning, exploring, yoga on the beach, re-applying of sunscreen filled our day.

Glorious. It was my favorite day of the trip so far.
