I love pizza. Randy loves pizza. We love pizza.
During our travels and pretty much anytime, we are on the hunt for exceptional pizza.
The reigning pizza champion is VIP (Very Italian Pizza) in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua discovered during our 2010/2011 winter escape. Pizzas are hand tossed but an old Italian guy. The real thing. Amazing.
It's cool that pizza is a food that you can find anywhere in any country.
Now that we will be in Chiang Mai until Christmas, it is imperative that we find a good pie.
Tonight was that night. Ohh yes.
Located in a pretty courtyard, we found our pie. Close to home, decently priced and delicious. It doesn't take the title over VIP but it's a close second.

Ancient Gym
So I finally got my ass out of bed this morning and went for a small run and to the "gym" close to the apartment we are renting.
For my U of W friends, think of the Duckworth Dungeon but 1000 worse. This gym has equipment I have never even seen before. It's dirty and looks like what I imagine a Thai prison gym to look like. Haha
Anyway, Randy and I popped our heads in last night on our way home from dinner so I could check the hours and drop in price. 30 Baht. Okie, perfect. See you tomorrow.
So I take my 30 B there this morning and leave it on the counter and then the dude comes over to me and says "10 B return to you, ladies pay 20 Baht." Hahhahahhahaha
Ok?
Anyway, they were nice and I will probably go back until I find something a bit more up to date. I will be sure to bring a towel and some hand wipes though!
I'll try to snag some pictures next time!

Koh Chang
After a hell of a long day in taxi's, buses and ferries, we arrived to the 2nd largest island in Thailand, Koh Chang. We chose this island as it is one of the closest to Bangkok (that isn't super pricey) as we only have a short amount of time before we have to head to Chiang Mai.
The vibe is great, island life ya know, always good. The snorkeling not so much but the beaches are decent. I've still seen better but I'll take it!
Tomorrow morning we head back, sad face, and make the looooooong trek up to CM.
We will enjoy the lantern festival this weekend before I start massage school on Monday.
The water is warm and there are lots of bugs.
This cheeky monkey let us know that we got too close by giving us a growl and showing us his teeth. We promptly scooted away!
I am sad to report that this beach was on a resort that we had to pay to get into and there was a lot of garbage all around. Very upsetting. Whether it's coming from Thai's or foreigners, it is just unacceptable.
This was supposed to be a mermaid tail but didn't quite work out that way. haha.
This big guy was on the stairs leading to our cabin. Pretty impressive these guys are. "Built to be mean" says Randy.
Same stairs. He was really cute.
Cute little tree frog.

I went all the way to Thailand to take pictures of cats.
You bet I did! Cute stray cats are usually the highlight of my travels. I still have a special place in my heart for Orange Cat in Nicaragua. Love that cat.
This black temple cat looked a little cranky but she/he reminded me of my cranky cat Monster at home.
These 2 were enjoying their dinner given to them by a local street vendor.
This guy was a little shit disturber at Wat Pho. Meowing away at the other cats who came close to his area.
Another crazy cat lady. Yes!

Taste of Bangkok so far
First meal in Thailand. Delicious coconut shake and my favorite dish, green curry soup with rice.
Area we are staying. Khoa San road. Foreigners of all kinds meet here. Families, singles, couples, young and old.
Temple day.
Day at the mall which was the nicest mall I have ever seen. I felt like I needed to get dressed up just to be there!
Tree of plastic bags. Brilliant.
WORST pizza ever.
Followed by some delicious pad thai.
