Koh Chang

After a hell of a long day in taxi's, buses and ferries, we arrived to the 2nd largest island in Thailand, Koh Chang.  We chose this island as it is one of the closest to Bangkok (that isn't super pricey) as we only have a short amount of time before we have to head to Chiang Mai.
The vibe is great, island life ya know, always good.  The snorkeling not so much but the beaches are decent.  I've still seen better but I'll take it!
Tomorrow morning we head back, sad face, and make the looooooong trek up to CM.
We will enjoy the lantern festival this weekend before I start massage school on Monday.
The water is warm and there are lots of bugs.
This cheeky monkey let us know that we got too close by giving us a growl and showing us his teeth.  We promptly scooted away!
I am sad to report that this beach was on a resort that we had to pay to get into and there was a lot of garbage all around.  Very upsetting.  Whether it's coming from Thai's or foreigners, it is just unacceptable.

This was supposed to be a mermaid tail but didn't quite work out that way.  haha.

This big guy was on the stairs leading to our cabin.  Pretty impressive these guys are.  "Built to be mean" says Randy.

Same stairs.  He was really cute.
Cute little tree frog.
